About our work
Our PR support for Mactaggart & Mickel covered an important period for the fourth-generation family-owned business and one of Scotland’s best-known companies.
We supported the team’s marketing efforts on more than 20 sites across Scotland and England, generating substantial positive media coverage across national, regional and online media.
What we did
Over the course of five years, we acted as media representatives for the group’s Cheltenham-based based business, with a focus on the home counties. During our first two years supporting the business, we generated more than 100 items of coverage across national, regional and trade media for its English business.
Following this success, in 2020 we stepped up to manage their national account – providing the entire group with corporate PR support to augment the group’s brand, primarily through thought leadership. Our press office function managed around 50 media queries a year. Our responses were swift and effective at a time of significant change for the business.
As part of this role, our director Ben Lowndes provided strategic support during the pandemic with the group responding to different guidance from English and Scottish governments.
We also provided comprehensive media handling and internal and stakeholder relations support during the sale of its Scottish housebuilding and timber systems businesses to Springfield Properties Plc in 2022.
We were delighted to see the announcement of the deal land well with the market and the media, generating more than 50 items of positive coverage.
