About the project

We are one of a small number of agencies appointed to support Bath and North East Somerset Council and its partners with their creative and graphic design needs.

As part of this, colleagues worked closely with the Marketing and Communications team at the council to develop and improve its existing logo to incorporate the motto of ‘Improving People’s Lives’, which we suggested. This is now the main logo used on all council material.

What we did

To ensure the logo was used correctly throughout all departments and services, we created a clear and concise set of brand guidelines that would be easily understood by designers and non-designers alike.

These guidelines addressed; logo sizing and placement, logo colour palettes, online and offline usage, how use (and not use) the logo, and nuance variations to cover a wide range of options.
