Distinctive stands out at South West property awards
Industry leaders have named Distinctive as one of South West’s leading consultancies of 2025, recognising a year of strong results and growth.
We’re delighted to be highly commended in South West Business Insider’s property awards, from a shortlist of eight well established specialist firms.
A year of progress
Over the eligibility period for these awards, we’re proud to have supported 13 property clients on retained or project work.
We became the smallest organisation to be fully accredited members of the West of England’s Good Employment Charter, with assessors praising our flexible ‘work anywhere, anytime’ policy, our commitment to wellbeing and healthcare and investment in our teams.
This culture directly drives client satisfaction. At the end of last year, our client survey recorded a ‘world class’ Net Promoter Score of 89, with more than half our clients and all but one respondent scoring us nine out of 10 or higher. The other respondent scored us an eight.
Alongside this, our director Ben Lowndes also supports Business West in an advisory capacity as member of their strategy board for Bristol and the charity Bricks as a trustee.
Championing communications, and our clients
Earning a place on the shortlist for an award that often goes to planners and property agents felt like a big achievement for us, just three years after setting up.
But we also strongly feel the need to champion the role of comms in supporting a sector we care deeply about. Too often this role is underplayed, if it’s recognised at all.
We are proud of our role in helping places recover and thrive and in supporting clients’ growth ambitions – through PR campaigns, engagement activity or content that connects.
And we’re also delighted to see our clients’ work recognised at the awards. Family-owned Beard won construction firm of the year, and The Forum in Gloucester bagged the placemaking award.
