Our three top comms blogs from 2024
It’s been quite a year for the team. Colleagues covered plenty of ground, delivering amazing results, with purposeful work that made a stunning impact.
This infographic created just before Christmas sets out headlines from a tough, but good, year for us.
With all this going on, it’s a wonder we found time for our own PR. I’ve seen before how, when things get busy, your comms falls down the priority list. But I’ve always felt it’s important for us to follow our advice to clients, by communicating consistently and well. We’ve done that with news stories, resources and our monthly Substack which steadily increased subscriber numbers throughout the year.
The team’s blogs played a key part in this too, providing us space to think and share learnings. It’s been great to see responses and conversations this generated.
Here are the three most read blog posts during the year, based on Google Analytics data. The obvious caveat here is that we published some of these posts much earlier in the year giving them potentially greater exposure. Some news stories and case studies also performed well. But this is about the blogging, which aimed to provide useful insights from the team and those we know and work with.

Challenging times need bold communications. This piece from the start of the year explains why built environment professionals should put great stock in strategic communications, with some tips on how to make the most of it.
Bristol City Council leader Tony Dyer took time out from his busy schedule to join one of our webinars in November. In an open discussion, Cllr Dyer shared his top five priorities, highlighted what success would look like for him, and set out his message of hope for the city. The write-up captured the key points from the discussion.
Other comms-related blogs shared this write-up of our webinar with business journalist Rob Buckland, and it continues to do well online. The post includes a recording of the webinar, which covered what journalists are looking for – and what they don’t want – from comms teams.
Here’s to a stand-out 2025
