Raising the profile of the Nuclear Institute as a trusted voice for the UK nuclear sector
Supporting the Nuclear Institute to strengthen its profile, showcase leadership expertise and champion professionalism across the nuclear industry.
About our work
The Nuclear Institute is the professional membership body for the UK nuclear sector, representing more than 6,000 professionals across the industry.
Focused on connecting members, advancing knowledge, and promoting professionalism, the team appointed us in 2025 as it launched a new strategy to raise the profile of the organisation and highlight its leaders’ expertise.
Our approach combines proactive media relations with strategic thought leadership. We secure coverage across nuclear, engineering and STEM media, sharing organisational news, initiatives and member-focused activity to key audiences.

Alongside this, we monitor major industry developments, government announcements and emerging sector challenges to identify opportunities for expert comment and analysis.
To support this work, we also delivered broadcast media training for senior colleagues and trustees, helping build confidence and capability when engaging with journalists and broadcasters.

Results
During 2025, we secured more than 40 pieces of media coverage in target sector titles including Energy Voice, The Engineer, Energy Live News, Laboratory News and MEM Magazine.
The Nuclear Institute’s expertise also reached mainstream audiences with spokespeople featured on BBC News and BBC Radio 1 following the announcement of Wylfa as the preferred site for the UK’s first small modular reactor.
By placing the organisation at the centre of key industry conversations, our work has helped to establish the Nuclear Institute team as reputable and reliable representatives for the sector. The organisation is now positioned to provide informed commentary on energy, defence and workforce issues, while continuing to champion the highest standards of professionalism across the sector.
