What is your favourite place in the South West/Bristol?
I love the harbourside in Bristol. It places me at the centre of a city I love.

It’s great all year around. In summer, I like to grab a bite to eat or a drink from Wapping Wharf, catch up with friends and watch people on paddleboards and in canoes. In colder months, a takeaway coffee and a brisk walk around reminds me of how much there is going on Bristol, even when the weather’s dull!

And, if there is a downpour, M Shed and the Arnolfini are on hand for some shelter and interesting exhibitions.

What do you enjoy doing when you are not working?
I love reading a great book, making new dishes and treats in the kitchen or indoor bouldering with friends.

I also dabble in creative writing, and find myself most productive in a coffee shop, with a bit of a social buzz. A change of scene gets me in the zone.

Your top three favourite books?
Standard Deviation – Katherine Heiney
How to Fail – Elizabeth Day
In Extremis – Lindsey Hilsum.
